Ultra realistic snare drum synthesis

I understand, it’s text, im not complaining

Btw dietcv hints at something you can do today: “These need sample by sample treatment, which could be done in C++, Faust or gen~” – write a UGen in Faust, compile it to an SC UGen, use in SC. This isn’t an especially convenient workflow (and at least one developer has thoughts about that) but it is technically possible to do, today.

I didn’t know about this , I’ve been in analog land for years. After reading about it I can see why reverbs and filters would sound more natural
Does a vst loaded in supercollider remove its single sample ability?

No.

Block calculation is an issue between multiple UGens. A single UGen can do whatever it wants internally.

(Edit: If you’ve used a filter in SC, then you’ve used single-sample feedback within a single UGen. No single-sample feedback within a UGen would mean no IIR filters, which would be unacceptable.)

I see, ok, thank you,

Like the tone he is getting with this video it seems Pluck is tailored for this… but Im not so versed in that ugen

miSCellaneousLib includes FB1 which allows single sample feedback
