Demand.kr use with non-Demand UGens

Hi all,

I searched a bit on the forum, but didn’t find an answer.

I’m not very familiar with Demand UGens. Is it safe to use a Demand.kr for getting values from non Demand rate UGens? It seems working, for me. And the DemandEnvGen help file suggests that is doable (it says one can demand values to non Demand rate UGens as well, but not the same is declared for Demand.kr).

Yes, both audio rate and control rate ugens can be input to demand rate ugens. Demand and Duty convert demand rate to audio/control rate.

Some non demand ugens take demand ugens as arguments, e.g. TGrains.
