Feature Request: `Dexprand`

Hello, despite the demand-rate stuff mimicking the pattern API very closely, I noticed that there is no demand rate ugen for exponentially distributed random values, even though we have both Pexprand and Texprand. Dexprand is missing.

Is there a reason for this or is it just an oversight? I didn’t know where to post feature requests, if I should open a GitHub issue please let me know.

I found this reference to the fact it is missing in the docs, which also shows how to redistribute Dwhite, but I still think we should add Dexprand to achieve parity with the patterns.

Not to my knowledge.

Feel free to file a bug report or PR at github. If a PR, you could even implement it in terms of Dwhite and linexp, purely within the class library – adding a whole new c++ UGen is a more complex change, probably not worth it for this requirement.

As James says, you could implement this yourself in the code library as a pseudo ugen. If you’re not sure how to do it then google, or use a chatbot. All you’re doing is wrapping the code that you already have with a ‘ugen like’ class interface.

Pseudo Ugens are very useful, so its worth knowing.
