i’ve been recently trying to gather information on the grain convolver concept that was developed by Tatsuya Takahashi, Christoph Hohnerlein and Maximilian Rest for the rbma sometime around 2018.
https://daily.redbullmusicacademy.com/2018/09/the-granular-convolver
from what i understand it’s using supercollider to create grains of samples on the device to convolve with incoming audio, some people have claimed that they were using a lot of Convolution2L.
in one interview (https://www.redbullmusicacademy.com/lectures/granular-convolver-takahashi-rest-hohnerlein), Christoph Hohnerlein states:
You can check out what we’re doing on it. You have actual access to the code if you snoop around a bit.
i’ve been snooping a bit, but couldn’t find the code yet, have any of you researched this technique and/or found snippets of their code?
best,
dormir
