Does any one know of a higher level midi program in supercollider for sending midi messages etc.? I am thinking of a library like the Python Milton package (GitHub - teymuri/milton: Algorithmic Composition Utilities) where you write in a very abstract musical sense (creating notes, chords, polyphonic structures etc), and should not be worry about the low-level midi stuff. Is there some thing similiar in supercollider?

I’d suggest taking a look at patterns - they can directly generate midi instructions (Pattern Guide Cookbook 04: Sending MIDI | SuperCollider 3.12.2 Help)

If you prefer a slightly more “music notation” approach, you could take a look at the Panola quark (GitHub - shimpe/panola: supercollider PAttern NOtation LAnguage (superset of subset of MISPEL ported to supercollider)) which comes with a method “asMidiPbind” that will translate the text-based notation into a pattern that generates midi

If fact it does, expecially lastestmusicxml. But it’s “your” thread, I don’t want to annoy one more person here. Cheers.
What’s going on, why so much generalized hypersensitivity? Is it the new Zeitgeist?
