The Linux pages will need an update soon for two reasons:

  1. pipewire is being shipped by default in some distributions; it doesn’t work as well as JACK but has other features some users might prefer. In any case, the user will need jack-devel (a conflict) at least while building SC. (edit: it may feel simple, but might require uninstalling and reinstalling many dependencies, so it’s not so trivial)

  2. Some distros are moving from X11 to Wayland by default. Wayland has a different security approach and will not allow MouseX to work if it is not inside an SC window. A warning would be nice, and would avoid many bug reports.
