It is a pitty, I hope you reconsider joining the forum, your materials, comments and ideas are inspiring!
Aw @redFrik , please don’t go! Your contributions are always so valuable.
Is there a problem with just accessing the forum in the browser? It doesn’t seem too cluttered to me, but you’ve probably got your own reasons.
Besides that, hope you’re doing ok, Fredrik. Greetings from smelly old Hackney.

Just to follow up on the original issue - it turned out these emails were caught by Gmail’s spam filter. I believe we’ve successfully disabled the spam filter, which should prevent similar problems in the future. According to the server logs, all the messages that were stuck in limbo have been delivered.
fredrik’s spam folder?
No, spam folder for the scsynth.org email address. AFAICT everything was fine from Fredrik’s side, this was a problem EITHER with Gmail’s overly-hungry spam filter, or because Fredrik’s email host ended up on a spam flag list somewhere. As I said, I think we were able to bypass the spam filter on the account completely, so it shouldn’t be a problem in the future (a spam filter is unnecessary, since emails from non-forum members are ignored anyway).
This isn’t entirely surprising - for me, probably ~3% of ALL of the old sc-users/sc-dev mailing list messages ended up in my spam folder - which was a LOT of emails, it was a huge pain. I think contemporary industrial spam filters aren’t really tuned for scenarios where hundreds of different accounts are sending new mails to you every week.
Hi,
just found out that replies to a thread started by me via email are not
forwarded to me by email. Nothing in my spam folder either. Had to check
on the forum manually. Phew, frustrating, especially since we were told
that the forum will be a drop-in replacement for the mailing list. It
does simply not work.
best, Peter
Check your email preferences - https://scsynth.org/u/Peter/preferences/emails. I’m not 100% sure, but I believe the applicable settings is the “Send me an email when someone quotes me…” one.
