How is this relevant for the SC community, if relevant at all?
The title is a bit misleading. The VST3 SDK has been available under the GPLv3 license for a long time. Now they have changed the license to MIT. For a project like SuperCollider, which itself is GPLv3, this doesn’t make a difference. This is mostly relevant for commerical projects (which previously had to obtain a free, commercial license) and permissively-licensed open source projects.
