What happens to a Ndef when you hit Command-period?

Hi everyone, I’ve been wondering what happens to Ndefs when you hit command + period ?
You can still play them again afterwards but it doesn’t consume CPU like when you simply .stop.
I’ve noticed you get a similar result with .pause (and .resume) except you can’t .pause and then .play.

  • stop: stop the monitor, but keep the proxy synths running
  • end: stop the monitor and the proxy synths
  • pause: pause the proxy synths, but keep the monitor running

cmd-period stops all.
